Every holiday season, our online shop hub (based inside Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park) becomes a flurry of activity as people across Hawaiʻi, the U.S., and beyond choose gifts that support the national parks of Hawaiʻi and American Samoa. And behind each order is a real person who cares deeply about where your purchase goes and what it supports. Hi! I’m Kiry Galapir, and I’ve been part of Hawaiʻi Pacific Parks Association since 2007, joining the HPPA ʻohana just before an eruption of Kīlauea Volcano! Today, I manage the lively world of online orders and our commitment to sustainable packing. When you place an online order, I am the one who makes sure you get your package.

As holiday orders arrive, our small but mighty team jumps into action. Packing slips get printed, products get pulled from inventory, and every item gets checked for quality.
- Sustainable Packing in Action
We are proud to reuse clean packing materials from our retail stores and vendors. Instead of tossing usable paper, cushioning, or boxes, we give those materials a second life. This reduces waste, cuts costs, and keeps useful materials out of the landfill.
In 2025, we’re exploring more eco-friendly packing options, downsizing packaging where we can, and continuing to refine how we ship with care for both our customers and our island home.

Every order is hand-packed with attention to detail. Items are tucked in snugly, labels are double-checked, and we make sure your package is ready for a smooth journey from Hawaiʻi to wherever you call home.
